Can't get block weight to work right.

I have news as the module for start page. And I also have few other blocks in the center of top/main page. But those blocks is always on the top before news, no matter how I set their weight. The blocks on the side works find when I change their order.

It's not block weight, it's theme...

Or apply Gijoes patch to a theme. It works perfectly!
