We've detected that your 404 (file not found) error page returns a status of 200 (OK) in the header.
this configuration presents a security risk for site verification and therefore, we can't verify your site. If your web server is configured to return a status of 200 in the header of 404 pages, and we enabled you to verify your site with this configuration, others would be able to take advantage of this and verify your site as well. This would allow others to see your site statistics. To ensure that no one can take advantage of this configuration to view statistics to sites they don't own, we only verify sites that return a status of 404 in the header of 404 pages.

Please modify your web server configuration to return a status of 404 in the header of 404 pages. Once your web server is configured correctly, try to verify the site again. If your web server is configured this way and you receive this error, click Check Status again and we'll recheck your configuration.

i have deleted from public_html 404shtml and the website give me 404.html

what is the problem

Off the top of my head, it sounds like a configuration problem with Apache. In httpd.conf (the Apache config file) is the only place where you can define custom server responses, that I know of. You may want to contact you hosting provider's Technical Support.

Hope this helps.

Re: sitemap google

This module is great, but I am having trouble getting the google sitemap to work in XOOPS 2.0.10.

I keep getting this error:

XML Parsing Error: xml processing instruction not at start of external entity
Location:http://www.technigrafa.com/xml_google.php
Line Number 3, Column 1:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
^

Anyone have an idea what this means? Is this module only compatible with newer XOOPS versions?

mine is:

XML Parsing Error: xml declaration not at start of external entity
Location:http://buzaulive.ro/xml_google.php
Line Number 4, Column 1:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
^

It appeas only with Firefox. If i select "<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
^" and i view source i get this: <sourcetext xmlns="http://www.mozilla.org/newlayout/xml/parsererror.xml"><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
^</sourcetext>

In IE everything is ok.

Is it ok to rename xml_google.com from the root folder?
