Some places say that this is a good program - but how would any one ever find out with zero documentation or any idea what to do. No docs in install, no user guide in forum - does the software actually do anything and (since I am pretty sure it does) how do you find out what or how.

You know, a simple How-to guide like almost everything else in the world might help.

Maybe a tutorial or even some samples would be nice.

The documentation site is normally available athttp://docs.xoops.org/

The xoops.org main server has been hacked recently
and the temporary unavailability of the documentation site is a consequence of this. We're still working on setting things up again, and should have something available soon.

You might also want to check out the XOOPS Dev Site and more specifically the wiki which may have some assistance, although it's geared towards a module developer. However some documentation is there and there are a number of other sites with documentation information. Search using your favorite search engine or try more of the forums here.

Hi,

guess you're at the right place at the wrong time
However, try this link here
and this one too.

There's more XOOPS Dokus out there, should you need them - try Google.

Good luck,

Alan

Thanks Skalpa and Alan for getting this one

We are still working on restoring the Documentation library, but unfortunately the site is not up yet. The majority of beginner documents are available from the links that Alan posted. I can also recommend you visit Macambridge.com and download the XOOPS for blonds and XOOPS for dummies ebooks.
