Registration Problem Please Help

Hello All ,
I recently installed XOOPS on my site and it went ok after I got the DB up and running , but now its telling me that when a user try's to Register it says ,

"You are now registered. However, we were unable to send the activation mail to your email account due to an internal error that had occurred on our server. We are sorry for the inconvenience, please send the webmaster an email notifying him/her of the situation."

What is this and what can I do ?

Re: Registration Problem Please Help

First check with your webhost to get the settings for your site's mail server. Then go to System admin - Preferences - Mail Setup and fill in the proper options on that page.

What should I ask my webhost for ?

Your SMTP server settings - usually mail.yourdomain.com.

And double check the path to sendmail.
