I’m curious…. Newbb v1.x is faster than others? Like newbb2? I have a client that ***doesn’t need all features*** of newbb2 / cbb so I need an opinion about the advantages of new forum modules and newbb1.

CBB is a supported module, newbb 1 will not be included with XOOPS 2.2, so in essence newbb 1 will become unsupported.

Newbb 1 has a bug that it will show users email addresses even if they choose to hide it. CBB fixes this problem.

So, supported module, continued development and improvment, and less bugs, CBB is the way to go for a new site.

Now, there are 2 other forum modules, based on newbb 1 that might be of interest. One is ForumEX

And the other is GIJOE's xhnewbb 1.1
