how can i put the code for online news into the news page middle column of the portal?

You can make a custom HTML block, where you can put HTML source code. If you only want to display the block in the news module make sure you just select 'News' in the module selector, otherwise it will appear on all pages.

I can do that,but doesnt work.!!

custom html block is in the news page center/center column but empty.
