Hi,

I have been working with a localhost copy of XOOPS today. At one point fool that I was, I forgot my password and since the localhost is not hooked to email.. this did not help..

So, I deleted all XOOPS files killed the database in MySQL client and tried to reinstall to a new folder..

Only.. in my localhost, the index.html & index.php files are no longer the default directory files.

I can reach an index.x url by typing the whole thing out. But, I cannot for instance type.. localhost/xoops and get localhost/xoops/index.php.

I cannot find this on any forum, so far and please forgive my newbieness...

I am running apache 1.3 on a mac os x ibook with php 4.3 and MySQL 4.0.18

thanks very much

I think you need to look at your Apache configurations...

In httpd.conf check that index.php is included in the directory index config :

# DirectoryIndex: sets the file that Apache will serve if a directory
# is requested.
#
DirectoryIndex index
index.html index.htm index.shtml index.php
