See! This URL of this site ishttp://www.tw-xoops.net, but the URL shown ishttp://www.tw-xoops.net/modules/news/. The URL of the homepage has been changed! Can it been fixed?

Moreover, when I point (not click) the cursor to the menu, its URL ishttp://www.tw-xoops.net/modules/XXX/. I don't want the visitors to see the the words /modules, which is coding of the web site. I would like the visitrs to see the actual site content structure, not the coding structure. Can I remove all these words showing the coding of the site from the URL?

I do think this is a problem.

Anybody agrees with me?

Of course not, I am proud of using it!

What I said is the change in the URL of the homepage. This may be a bit strange.

That is because you have set News as the "Start Page" in System/Admin/Preferences. Are you the admin and forgot that you set it to go to news? Set it to None and you won't get that.

Thanks!

But if I set to none, nothing is shown in the front page. I would like to show the latest news of site in the front page with no strange as like that in your site xoops.org

Re: Incorrect Shown URL

That is one of the most frequent questions after the blank screen question. The empty front page is where you can put anything you want. Lots of answers depending on your needs but if you want to highlight the news you can put in one or more of the news blocks, Spotlight, custom blocks, almost anything.

On my own site I have left & right blocks and then a custom block and spotlight in the centre.

Too many variables and choices to mention here but a search will bring up lots of options for the front page content.
