I'd like my site to have more of a tree structure versus the "all on one level" approach that XOOPS uses by default. Is there an easy way to multiple layers based on, for example, topic instead of by the function (gallery, forum...).

It seems to me people want to browse my site based on topic, not by functionality. I'd love to have a top level entry for, say, "Itchy and Scratcy" and have a gallery, forum etc all available as members of the group.

The easiest way to get this 'effect' is a custom menu organized in whatever fashion you want, and not using the default mian menu.

I have a menu builder module I am just about ready to release which will allow you to create menu's on the fly using different layout styles with unlimited depths. Each new menu makes it's own block so you can have multiple menus.

I was hoping there might be an easier way than doing it by hand, and it sounds like your module may be pretty close to what I was looking for. I look forward to playing with it, thanks much!
