How to find IP with shoutbox 3??? asap, plz!! paying per minute

Someone keeps spamming my shoutbox!!
i want it open so guest can post comments yet one person keeps sticking junk and swearing on it
is there any way to find the ip address so i can ban them from the site??
any help asap i would be extremly greatful as i am in spain and paying by the minute

i suggest u close it so only registed can do it. Cuz it seems that would be the best. Then u can get the ip from his username if he registers.

will get back to the thread in a couple of days and see if any one has a soultion
is a pain when u get one person who spoils things

Check out the file uploads/shoutbox/shout.cvs, and search for the post of the spammer, IP will be on the same line.

I got the same spam on my shoutbox! Using the Anonymous567* as the id of the poster.

In my setting I have allowed anonymous module access, so they can still read the shoutbox, but disallow them to post through the template (if I'm not mistaken).

I guess that what has caused they can spam the shoutbox?

Appreciate any solution to this.

This is exactly the same thing that is happening to me. Someone is able to spam the shoutbox even though guest posting is OFF (though posts show).

Help? Solution?

Markian, could you remove those spam urls from your post? You are only helping those spammers by placing there urls in this forum.
