Ok may be there is a module that already does this so some guidence would be nice if so. I would like to be able to display a remote URL/website in a block.

My ultimate goal: (This may already be possible however I am a noob and have not figured it out.)
I would like to have a url/website link show in the user menu and when clicked it opens in the main/middle frame of the xoop window. If possible a static setting for hight and width would be nice.

thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Hi, and welcome to XOOPS forums

I think what you want is probably best achieved using an iframe in a custom block. (see the FAQ section customising )

You then need to use a menu link to open the page containing the custom block and of course the iframe content (the website you proposed)

This is achieved by using a menu module like multi-menu or customising the main menu.

Its all in the FAQ section. have a look
