Greetings,

I have searched to forums and have not come up with a satisfactory answer to this issue. I am building a site for a client, and he needs to be able to use a news/blog tool of some kind to upload articles that contain MULTIPLE images, placed in a certain way, remotely, and efficiently. Now, before you simply say “Try This module, it will fit your needs” I have tried every module in the news/blog areas, and on some third party sites. They are work the same way. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love xoops, and I love a lot of the modules. But this is such a fundamental aspect of content management I am shocked that it’s not built into XOOPS itself.

Let me clarify. I need a module that can either:

(a) Take a formatted Word doc, and upload and display it correctly, embedded images included
(b) Format an article and allow for multiple images to be embedded easily and uploaded through the module, not ftp, or anywhere else.

My client says his friend had a site that allowed (a) but I don’t know how to do that. XOOPS has a hard enough time dealing with html files without needing third party modules, much less Word Docs.

Please, if I am missing something right in front of me, I will be most grateful if someone points it out, without saying anything resembling “Try module X”. I’ve tried them. They don’t do this. The key is multiple images, placed where I need them.

This ability is core to my completing this job. If no ability exists inside the XOOPS system to do this, is there a module writer that can hack one to do it for me? My budget is not great, but I can pay you something to help me. Thank you in advance, yours is a great community, and I know we can resolve my problem quickly.

I apologize, and I retract part of my previous statement, evidently, WF-Sections can import Word docs, but it says that my server doesn't have Word installed, and cannot do it. Does anyone have this setup running, so that I can see the result of it? Otherwise, How can I resolve this? Thank you!
