no! it's just a original copy of mainfile.php. don't worry about that.

I just committed a fix for that on CVS for XOOPS 2.0.9 beta 2 - as you can see nowhttps://xoops.org/mainfile.dist.php no longer discloses path information about the server.

Yes, once your XOOPS installation is complete, you can delete it.
