This works for me with IE and firefox
Think it's from Brash :
in the newbb.css put this :

li.newbb_folder {
position:relative;
padding:0px;
background-color:#506C70;
border: 1px solid #506C70;
color:white;
list-style-position: outside;
z-index:9;
}
