Hello,

browsing through the module repository, I almost see no wood because of all the trees....
(a Dutch saying, in this context meaning: how should I make a choice?)

I like to play around and learn things, but my question is: is there some kind of quality test for modules that have been posted?

What I mean is: how big is the chance that a module I download and install will work?

I guess the XOOPS teammembers have thought about it, because it could be harmfull for the credibility of XOOPS if there wasn't any 'quality management'.

How are opinions about this issue?

Greetings,

Ronaldus

well the simpliest way to improve quality assurance is to use the features currently available in the Module Repository: Reviews and Rankings. If these two elements were used, it should be a simple matter to pick the best module.

Right!
Perhaps a reminder in the general part of the repository will help.
Rating is a barely used option, usually 1 or 2 votes, and I would not be surprised if they were from the submitters...
