Hello,

I'd install the downloads module. Granted 777 permission to uploads folder.

But when I try to upload a pdf, I got:

Errors Returned While Uploading
Failed opening directory with write permission: /home/restricted/home/tavares1/public_html/xoops/html//
MIME type not allowed: application/pdf

The same on txt files.

And the pdf Mime type is enabled on the add file form.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

i'm curious about this:

/home/restricted/home/tavares1/public_html/xoops/html//

the double slash // at the end

can u check the uploads path in the downloads module ur using..

it maybe has a / at the beginning which shouldn't be there..

but you'd be better of using WF-Downloads rather than mydownloads.. as i think wf-downloads is to become the new downloads module for XOOPS to replace mydownloads..

likey need to configure mime type. wf-downloads allows you to add mime types through module admin, not sure about mydownloads.

Hmmm ... i´d bet you already use wf-downloads as mydownloads doesn´t support mime type selection in that way.

So which version are you using?
Is that path really correct?
In module preferences what did you put for upload directory?

Hi Monty,

Just to clarify this point. WF-Downloads is a WF-Projects module, and as far as I am aware, the XOOPS team have not approached us in using this module in any other way than its use on Xoops. =)
