I installed v1.3 so I can use a specific module that's only for 1.3, but now it's not letting me login, the entry in the database is there, but it seems like it's not reading it?

I have v2 installed and working fine (obviously different database) I'm probably missting something fairly simple since otherwise it went smoothly.

Xoops 1.3 is basically my favourite but if you are new to XOOPS I highly recommend you go with the latest version of XOOPS you will get more help simply because XOOPS 1.3 does not interest many anymore. Go the latest version anyway you will get lots more support and it is that bit easier to use.

well, unfortunately the module I am interested in using (ED2K) appears to be written to function with v1 and not v2...

I actually have v2 installed and running, but the module does not work (debug shows calls to files only in 1.3) and I have no idea how to re-do the scripts so they work in v2...

I just need to know how to troubleshoot my inability to get logged in once it's installed (v1.3), then getting the module working is the next challenge.

or... I learn php and fix it myself
