It was about problem on after I installed the FreeContent module on last night, since then the left column disappeared. I manipulated to delete cookies, internet temp files and files from template_c, and also changed names on 'xoops_session' and 'xoops_cookies' but could not successful to bring it up again.

On finding no way, I started to reinstalled the program this morning, tho' I still couldn't bring up the column but this time I checked that all check boxes from area of Module Permission have been missing from all respective pages of Group Permission.

I searched from this community for solution and found the following which is assumed to be a similar matter but in an order version of XOOPS as it was replied on

Re: I can't see admin menu on admin panel
Fixed!!

the solution :

1- access to the database
2- access to xoops_groups_modules_link
3- changed the GROUPid 1 , MID1 to A (access)
----------------------------------------------

Quoting belows is data from my 'xoops_group_permission' table, see if it can be useful?

gperm_id gperm_groupid gperm_itemid gperm_modid gperm_name
1 1 1 1 module_admin
2 1 1 1 module_read
3 2 1 1 module_read
4 3 1 1 module_read
5 1 1 1 block_read
6 2 1 1 block_read
7 3 1 1 block_read
8 1 2 1 block_read
9 2 2 1 block_read
10 3 2 1 block_read
11 1 3 1 block_read
12 2 3 1 block_read
13 3 3 1 block_read
14 1 4 1 block_read
15 2 4 1 block_read
16 3 4 1 block_read
17 1 5 1 block_read
18 2 5 1 block_read
19 3 5 1 block_read
20 1 6 1 block_read
21 2 6 1 block_read
22 3 6 1 block_read
23 1 7 1 block_read
24 2 7 1 block_read
25 3 7 1 block_read
26 1 8 1 block_read
27 2 8 1 block_read
28 3 8 1 block_read
29 1 9 1 block_read
30 2 9 1 block_read

My enviroment configuration:
Xoops: version 2.0.7
Browser: IE version 6.0.x
PHP: version 4.3.8
System: Linux (version: asking)
Server API: Apache/1.3.31

See if anyone has an idea or solution to fix this...thanks?

[I clarify one of my mistake from the above mentioned...as no module having been installed, there should have no check boxes.]

I am having a simular issue, but all my blocks disappear.

http://www.advenquest.com/index.php

I can still get to the control panel home via the url, but when I get in the blocks administration menu everything is gone - all default and custom blocks are gone for every group.

I just installed XOOPS 2.0.7 and started having the problem after working several hours to tranfer content from the old site to the news modudle in xoops. I deleted the files from the template_c like you, but it started again this morning. I am wandering if it's a 2.0.7 issue, because I have another site running 2.0.6 and have never seen this issue.

Apache version 1.3.31 (Unix)
MySQL version 4.0.20-standard
PHP version 4.3.8
PHP info Click to view
PERL version 5.8.4
Kernel version 2.4.20-021stab022.1.777-enterprise
Cpanel version 9.4.1-RELEASE-64
Browser Browser: IE version 6.0.2800

Thanks, 7dana did a custom theme for me and I did the header graphic and logo.

Yes, center, but only on the top page, left and right on all pages. I can navagate to the news, xDirectory and contact modules via the navigation bar at the top.

I'm also using a 7dana theme but since I changed alot of it and now everything is no more 7dana, and I also omitted the right blocks column.

My condition right now will be all blocks from the other 2 columns disappear and all that's left behind is just the News Section on the front page.

From inside the Admin page, the upper part of all selectable items vanish, all that's left behind is just the Blocks Creation Area.

Funny, isn't it...

Just broke a rib laughing, so hard.

That's exactly what I see. The difference is my default module to start is "none". I am using the blocks to build my top page. I didn't like the idea of redirecting for SEO reasons.

Are you using XOOPS 2.0.7 core?

Oh! what you mentioned I've try before, prior to I made up my mind to reinstall everything again...xoops 2.0.7 since released.

I experienced with failure on FreeContent module, then I uninstalled the module and the core worked again...

Consequently I experienced with failure on CJ-Content, then I uninstalled the module and everything worked again...

Lastly with simular thing named instpage.php, uninstalled...worked again.

You know I really have to reinstall the core as there must be some mistake in between as what I'd mentioned (missing check boxes inside Group Permission pages. Curing it in a permanent way.

Nope!

In spite of waiting for a sound solution from here, I have also restarted a fresh installation. I rename the orignal server path with some other name and start a new server path://public_html for this progress...and condition is so far so good.

I have just finished to upload everything into the server and my next step will be installion of all modules.
