I have installed the CONTACT US module and when someone fills it out, and sends it, it goes nowhere. I have a local email server installed on the server.

Should the contact form send the response as an email or can someone tell me how it works or how to set it up?

I don't use the contact us, but believe it use's the PHP send mail fucntion. and maybe effected by what you set in site preferences.

Preferences --> Mail setup

The E-mail is sent to the E-mail address set in your XOOPS admin

Preference --> General Settings

All above are in admin.

You may also like to try another module called Liase:

http://www.brandycoke.com/

This allows you to create as many forms as you like, and define the elements within that form, so you can just use one form, customised to your or your clients liking.

Hope this helps.

Wow! What a great module. Thanks for the suggestion. I installed it and it works great! Also, the reason my contact us form wasnt working was because I had the email misspelled. Dumb mistake.

You might want to use the module called CONTACT US +PLUS it gives you more options and is available for download do a search for it. Try installing this one and see if it works!

I use a combination of the two.

Contact Plus for the actual contact us page, and Liaise for creating generic information forms.

BTW - I think Contact Plus could be better with allowing the user to put info about the form like address phone number etc. I do this by editing the template, but a user interface to set this up would be nice.
