I'm in the early stages of implementing XOOPS at my company. We're going to use it as a department intranet for the it department.

We have a number of guides to be used when maintaining various systems, and I need a module that is well suited for this purpose. I would like it to show the hirarcy of the created guides in the main menu, but these submenus should only be visible to users belonging to a certain group.

The guides should be able to contain images at varius places inside the text.

Can anyone recommend a module that is well suited for this task?

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.7.

Not sure if it will help you, but have a look at the modules provided by the WF Projects team (www.wf-projects.com). They have modules like the WF Sections module for article\document distribution. You may have the same problem as me however (I too am running an internal intranet for my dept) because the module automatically places 'http://' before the links, preventing a direct server link. Still, have a look at it if you get the time and let me know if you find anything cause I could do with a module along the lines you refer for the same reasons.

Definately sounds like a job for Wf-Sections.... ;)
