News headlines not updating except when module is updated

I have the headlines cache set for 1 hour both in the module and globally. My headlines are displaying properly except they don't update hourly as expected. They only seem to change when I update the module through admin. Any suggestions on where I should check for a solution?

Oops... I had the block cache set for 1 week. Problem solved. (So many caches, so little time.)
