Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I'm just not "getting" this.

I mod a small but super-active Xoops2 site for a cat rescue group I'm with, for the members to communicate, network, etc. The members are asking if there is a way to set Newbb so that it automatically purges posts more than a certain number of days old. (to give you an idea, with 21 members there's been approximately 7800 posts since Feb 1)

Searching older posts, the only suggestions I've found anyone make is "learn sql and write a query". The problem isn't that, I can write queries in sql. The problem is that I get tired of doing it weekly because the site gets something on the order of 2000+ posts per month, most of which are fairly long due to posting of information about the cats, directions for transports, etc. and I'm not quite proficient enough at PHP to integrate this myself. Is there a way to do this?
