Good or bad?

This is when I load the front page. When I load the Forum part, which runs off of the IB mod, I get 26 queries from XOOPS and 11 from the mod itself.

Any thoughts?

Sounds pretty normal to me esp since you are using a hacked in Forum. I find that a good PHP pre-compiler/cache does wonders with Xoops.

I see the same often as well. I try to pay more attention to the total time it takes the queries to run. That along with performance of the php code. From what I've noticed it's rare that any of my pages take longer than 0.1 seconds for the server to render.

If you're queries start to climb to high you should check the time, and then turn off a bunch of blocks and check the time again. Should help to see if your queries need to be looked at.

Well, I'm trying to keep the speed up, which is also making me look into doing a new theme for the site as well.

Front page is down to Total: 47 queries
