I have been having difficulties with the 'read' status of forums. Basically, they stay unread. My questions starts:

Is the read/unread status stored in a cookie on the local machine? Because I access my site from 5 different computers - this might be causing this problem...

In partial answer to my own question - at least it appears not to be just me. After trying this site (xoops.org) with another computer - all read flags are gone... Is there a way to get this in the database instead of in a cookie?
