Site Info:
http://163.21.190.22/~htspecial/html
xoops 2.0.5.1 (Traditional Chinese Version)
Apache/2.0.45 (Unix) PHP/4.3.1
===================================================
Today isn't really my day.
I intended to upgrade my XOOPS site from 2.0.5.1 to 2.0.5.2. But I forgot to backup the original "html" directory and overrided the wrong version(twxoops2_201_to_202_20030427). I could see nothing but a blank page in my sit. Then I found the right version(twxoops2051-2052_20040127) and overrided the html directioy. There was still blank in my site.
I really hate myself...so careless!!!
Could you help me out?
By the way, what if I install XOOPS 2.0.5.2 with full version. Will the preferrences of my original modules and message on gustbook(or forum) disappear?
=====Please be tolerant of my poor English!

on a quick guess, u may have over written your mainfile.php, in which case if u don't have a backup u would have to manually edit the file and put your usernames, passwords and database names and all the paths into it.. check if your database is still intact by using phpmyadmin or whatever MySQL program u use.. make abackup of ur MySQL database..

if u totally reinstall i'm not sure if it drops existing tables in the sql file.. so if it does then u will lose all your database.. i'm pretty sure it will drop tables anyway or it will give u errors cos the tables already exist..

but i'd say it's more than likely the mainfile.php you need to check..

it's hard to say without actually seeing exactly what you've done and checking the files..

For those which have problems (mostly blank page) after fresh
install (or upgrading) on their websites....

You could download my Checker Module from the download area.

This module checks the XOOPS file structure and files (CRC).

You need to download the Checker Module:

https://xoops.org/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?cid=24&lid=582

and the checker.xml files:

https://xoops.org/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?cid=24&lid=583

It already helped one with a blank page problem in Germany

Thanks robekras!!!!!!!!I've seen a chance to fix my site!!!

I've settled down your checker.xml(checker.xml files for XOOPS 2.0.5.2) and checker module, and
the results of checker module are below:

Click me to see the result of checkit.php

Could you tell me what shall I do next? For example, "file cache/index.html doesn't exist" and "Wrong CRC: banners.php"
Where can I get the file or how to fix it? Please help, thanks a bunch!

Download the complete XOOPS 2.0.5.2 distribution and unpack it.

Don't care about the missing index.html.
More of interest are the php files with a wrong CRC.
I see some of them.
Maybe because you have patched them by yourself.
If you are sure that you did not patch them, you can just upload the correct files from the original 2.0.5.2 distribution.

To be on the safe side, you can download your complete site, so you have a backup, in case you did something wrong.

Don't overwrite your mainfile.php on your webserver.
