for modules Links and Downloads, under the header logo, there are like 3 returns, the spacing takes up alot of room, i would like to get rid of that spacing, anyone know how?

Are you using the default template that comes with xoops?

If so, go to system admin > templates and clone the default template and save it with a new name. Then go to system admin > preferences > general settings and change your default template to the new template that you just created.

Then to take out the extra spaces between the downloads header and the rest of the page, go to system admin > templates click on the downloads list link in your new template. Look for this file "mydownloads_index.html" and click edit.

You will see

below the logo gif and you can just delete them out and save the file.

Same thing with the links page. It's called "mylinks_index.html".

Did you make this new clone template set your default? System/Prefs/General

I did the same thing and it worked fine. Make sure you are deleting them from the right file. I took the whole stock graphic logo thing out on mine and the br's.

It is probably also a good idea to save the changes you made (after you got it working of course)
Otherwise when you update or something, your changes could be overwritten.
You can do that also in the template section, and save it to your hard disk (or save the whole template)

Aloha

In the template manager you have also a option to download an item, or to download the template. When you hit this button you can save your files on your hard disk.

Maybe you removed too much space and the logo gets a little compressed now? Do you know the actual size of your logo?

Hope this helps
