Experiments suggest that contagious yawning is related to a person's self-awareness and ability to see things from another person's view. In the words of Dr. Platek and his colleagues:

"Seeing or hearing about another person yawn may tap a primitive neurological substrate responsible for self-awareness and empathic modeling which produces a corresponding response in oneself."

So, are you a victim to contagious yawning? Do you have the uncontrollable earge to yawn when you see others do it? Does the mere sight of the word "yawn", make you yawn?

Be honest, if you just yawned, post a reply!

Oh man please help me, I can't stop yawning anymore. Could you please mail a method to stop yawning.

Until the post drops off the recent list I'm going to yawn everytime I see the title. I try to avoid it but there it is.

This is the last post on this thread! Any more and it stays near the top and I won't stop yawning. I won't get any work done and I'll have to cancel my subscription!

Just found out that it is not always a case of neuro linguistic programming that makes us yawn. It could also be just plain starving hunger.
Now, where I live (In the lighter southern part of Holland) we eat Nonnevotte around new years day. (Translation of Nonnevotte into English is a little difficult, it's something like : Nun's bottoms.
Ok here is the Module Nonnevotte (my first and maybe my last)

1 kg flower
1 ounce of yeast
1 ounce sugar
1 ounce butter
0.5 l milk

Mix it all, let it rise for 20' make knots of the dough and bake in hot oil.

Bon appetit and stop y..... NOW
