Hi everyone.
This is my first post, even if I've been using XOOPS from one year.
I've XOOPS 1.3.10 on my site. Now I want to upgrade it to 2.0.5.1.
I've overwritten the old files (but I've also tryed deleting the old files) and I've pointed to the XOOPS directory.
There's no error, but there is a problem: "Tables for XOOPS2 already exist in your database".
What may I do?
Than you very much
Maurizio

P.S: Happy Christmas to everyone

Did you ever get this problem resolved, Maurizio?

Unluckly, I haven't resolved it.
Is it possible that the problem is in any chmod?
Maybe I've to change the permissions in some files.
What do you think about?

The problem is the table _users. If I delete it, I cold go to the following installation step. But in the following step I've some problems; the script cannot create the following table:
_banner
_bannerclient
_bannerfinish
_config
_groups
_groups_users_link
_modules
_newblocks
_priv_msgs
_ranks
_session
_smilies
I think I've changed the table _users when I attempted to upgrade from XOOPS 1 to XOOPS 2.
So, how can I change the table again?
Se you soon
Maurizio

Do you mean just rename it? You can do some of your changes in the database through phpmyadmin. There you can rename tables and fields.

I want to keep the old values of the table _users.
However, if I keep it, I'm not able to upgrade xoops.
When I delete this table or I rename it, I can go to the following step, but I've some errors (cannot create the table...) and, when upgrading is done, I have a blank page.
Is it possible to downgrade _users table?
