Removing Notification and problem with menu

Im a new user to xoops, so dont kill me right now :)

There is 2 things i need to get fixed to get the XOOPS portal online.
One is, is there anyway to turn of the Notification on every page, it drives me freaking inzane

And the second thing, this is know can be done but i dont seem to find where to do it.
My menu does only show modules for registerd users, why and how to fix this

Hi and welcome to the XOOPS community! You can ask anything here, there are no stupid questions

1. Go to admin , and look for the preferences page for every module. That's where you find the notification settings. You have to do this per module.

2. Go to system admin -> groups and set the access rights for each group of users there.
