I am using the "My Links" module as the links to a list of projects. Now, when a user does a search, I would like him to get the results under the heading "Projects" instead of "My Links".

In the search.php file, this is the line that outputs the heading title:

echo "<h4>".$module->getVar('name')."</h4>";

However, I did not know how to track the 'name' to the origin.

I also changed the modules name in the modinfo.php file under modules/mylinks/language/english/modinfo.php but this did not help either.

Any ideas how to do that?

hmmmm, yeah that would be nice....same with all modules really....

However...the search engines do associate it with your site....you could include more text in the index to tie it more to your site....and when ever you add a link for instance you can make a quick reference to you site...initially....
ie: submitted to "your site"-"the coolest site" etc.

just an idea...

Did you change the name shown in the menu via Admin/Modules? When I do a search I get results showing the name I set it to. I see "SPDA News" instead of "News" for example.

yup! that does it. I remember trying it once before on a different site with XOOPS 1.3 or so an dit did not work. Most likely I was doing something wrong then.
