administration menu -> news -> preferences -> comment rules -> disable comments

I already tried that ofcourse, but the word "Comment" was still underneath each news post. After half an hour of searching through the .php-files I have managed to get rid of it, simply by deleting the letters of the word 'Comment' in the language file.

change the word in the lang file..
modules/news/language/english/main.php (i am not sure)
