I tried to download Glossaire/Glossary from here: https://xoops.org/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?cid=24&lid=359

the only problem seems to be that the ZIP file is corrupted. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have a copy of Glossaire v2.0 that they can send me?

I have contacted the author of Glossaire, but have had no response as yet...

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help

I just zipped a copy up for you and E-mailed it with the E-mail in your profile.

I'll see if I can get some one to host this file for members to DL

Hope this is of help.

one question though... visit the above link and click on the "Print a definition" link next to one of the latest definitions... the Close button says something in french. do you know how i can change this? do you get the same on your forum?

It's french for close window, ok you need to edit the following file to change the wording.

glossaire-p-f.php

2 lines need minor editing:

Line 83 in Dream Weaver MX
Quote:

Line 167 in Dream Weaver MX
Quote:

change:
Quote:
Fermer cette fenĂȘtre !!

Change that bit to any wording you like.

Well spoted I been using that module for a long time and missed that one, lol

Hope this is of help.

three things...

1. thanks for the "Close Window" mod... it worked perfectly

2. Why did you post a link to the original logo on my site?? i'm confused... lol

3. I've found another small problem:

Click here: http://hififorum.co.uk/modules/glossaire/

The "Print a definition" link opens up the printable version in a new window. This is correct.

Click here: http://hififorum.co.uk/modules/glossaire/glossaire-aff.php?lettre=A

The "Print a definition" link opens up the printable version in the same window, therefore making the "Close Window" button rather annoying... lol

Do you know how i can make the printable versions open in a new window for the individual letter indexes as well??

Sorry nearly missed this post, I fixed the problem and mailed you the script, now for other members the answer is here:

File name: glossaire-aff.php

To make the 'print' and 'tell a friend' open in a new window for Glossaire for individual letter indexes you need to edit these lines:

Lines 63 & 64 Dream Weaver MX
Quote:
$imprD = "\""._PRINT."\" ";

$envD = "\""._FRIENDSEND."\"";

and add the target='blank' to force glossaire to open a new window, done as follows:

Lines 63 & 64 Dream Weaver MX
Quote:
$imprD = "\""._PRINT."\" ";

$envD = "\""._FRIENDSEND."\"";

Also I linked your site, to show you where the image is should you wish to change it to your logo.

Hope this is of help.

i received the update file, and it worked perfectly! thanks dude

about the link to my logo... i have already changed it by altering the code to point to a different image. i didn't replace the image itself. was this a bad idea? is the old logo still referenced somewhere then?

thanks again...

It's the XOOPS Site logo, as you see in the admin of xoops, thats all, some people change it for various reasons it's no major problem.

Glad I could be of help any way.

take care.

the logo i'm using instead is slightly larger though (468 x 80 instead of 148 x 80)... is there any chance that his image is referenced anywhere else apart from the top of the admin page, and therefore my page formatting will go wrong somewhere?
