i'm fed up of seeing joomla this, joomla that rammed down our throats 24/7 on this site.

joomla isn't the be all and end all of dev sites, i've seen far better, and far worse.

as i see it, it's getting all too common for people to demand this, demand that, we want this, we want that. we need this, we need that..

this place ran a lot better and smoother and more friendlier before it became as open as it now.. things got done a lot quicker too because devs weren't being constantly nagged at for step by step minute by minute updates on what they do n don't do.

WE don't need pre-apha, neither more dev versions, that we have now..

We need a Todo list, a dev status clycle, one progress-bar..

maxpt hit a nail on the head there (in a limited sense)

you are right, the users don't need alpha versions!!

but alpha versions are part of *development* so no the users don't need them, but developers do..

users should not need an alpha version as it does them no good whatsoever.

beta versions are different..

so y people make demands for this and that for an alpha version is beyond me.. unless you're a developer it's of no use.. wait for the betas and then you'll probly find nightly/weekly builds released..

LMAO. I wouldn't worry about this point, since there aren't any updates, it can't have affected how quick things get done.

if you (or anyone esle) can do it better than already developers, so just do it and not talk ABOUT it.
you can contribute.send your hacks and patches tohttp://devteam.xoops.org/ and im totally sure your works will be welcomed from devteam.
just dont said this and that CMS is better and have an active team and everyone works on it like a charm and so on.

Yes, irmtfan, the easiest way is to just kill the messanger. Look, if the issue of communication and team updates is coming up again and again, then there is obviously a problem. Too bad you don't see it.

Skalpa has comitted a lot of new changes to the SVN, each with a very extensive, technical and developer oriented report on what the change contains, what it is for, how it should be used and what the status is.

Read through those. There's your progress reports on development.

Now developers are communicating, so use it.
