2 weeks later, is there any news?

before doing anything else, perhaps would be nice to have some news from the single man at the head of the dev.

if some can speak with skalpa on msn perhaps could he post what's going on, no?

the only update we have at moment, is that the devs are now concentrating on merging XOOPS 2.0.x & XOOPS 2.2.x together, so they are working on bringing those versions into 1 single version. then 2.2 will be killed off as to speak so that there is only 1 single development path. once that has been sorted, development on 2.3 will continue.

really ? devs? who ?
some are discussing about a 2.0.17 on SF ML.
i can not see any movement on SF, SF news is still on 2.0.14, would be better to push a 2.0.16 news instead.
when will this 2 years blocked situation be away ?

yes, i have 2.0.17 testing on my site. as far as i'm aware it's just a bugfix & security issue update, (i think they are working on prevention of session hijacking) but there's issues with the session at moment, preventing login. I don't think 2.0.17 will be the merger.

as for 2.0.14 on the sf site, I totally agree with you there. 2.0.16 should be listed not 2.0.14.

ok, thanks for the info.

Could someone ask the XOOPS head to explain here what's going on, so it will prevent questions like ours and help us in our projects ?

the community is asking this. Everything is blocked,
because there is no clear vision about the next few weeks/month.

Which version should we report bug on ?
Seems the 2.3 branch is dead. Moreover, there is no install instructions within the 2.3 svn version. How to test it? Is it worth to test it? when devs will be back so we will be able to help with debug?
