I reverted back to the last release Mamba made and everything is functional again..


Strange, it works fine with me.

My Configuration :
Minimum PHP required: 5.2 (your version is 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.2)
MYSQL minimum version required: 5.0.7 (your version is 5.5.24-0ubuntu0.12.04.1)
Minimum XOOPS required: 2.5 (your version is 2.5.5)
Minimum ModuleAdmin required: 1.1 (your version is 1.1)

Did you have a Newbb already installed before?
Did you delete the folder "newbb" in "uploads" (in the root) before installation?

im really surprised now because this is very old feature in Vbulletin and i thought everybody are familiar with thank you button because it is very common.

It is just like the "facebook like" button but it is implemented to just thank the submitter for its valuable post.

when a user find a comment/post/news/picture/file/... useful but he/she dont have any comment other than say thank you he/she can click a "Thanks button" at the bottom of the message. Then it will show which users thought a message was useful/trust worthy and list those users.

It will reduced the short thank you posts in forum. there is many examples in xoops.org forum

In the past 10 years of using "newbb" I had a wish to see a "thank you" button feature in xoops forum.

IMO this feature is a very big missing for this forum and i think other xoops forums like "X-forum", "newbbex" and "D3 forum" have not this feature too.

I realy dont know why any developer did not implement it until now.

EDIT:
I think this thank you button feature should be in core. then developers could implement it to the comment system or any other submits (content, picture, file, ...) as well.

Yes this is the problem, but is only when the XOOPS_URL have subdirectory... in my case /sito.
This problem i had in the past is resolved, in other file.

Now only in viewpost.php, if i modify the line $nav->url = XOOPS_URL . $nav->url; the problem is resolved,but i think is not the solution because $nav->url = XOOPS_URL . $nav->url; is present in other file without problem.

It fixes a lot of issues, so I think, it's more stable than 4.0, but you should probably check out the changelog to see all the changes.

XOOPS Germany is running it, and I believe, everything is there pretty OK.
