My question is will the new XOOPS 2.5.1a run efficiently on a shared hosting environment?

Yes, it will.

I have several of XOOPS sites on 2.5.1a and now testing 2.5.2, and don't have any problems.

Re: GoDaddy.com and XOOPS!

Testing now on surpasshosting.com. I downloaded/exported my site and uploaded/imported to the new host. Posting module issues to troubleshoot, but so far so good otherwise with the host.

Thanks all......

Finding a full path name with Godaddy.com Linux web hosting:

Create a PHP file with this in it:

<?php
echo __FILE__;
?>

Then upload it to your website to find the physical path.

The best fix for Go-Daddy is to "Go" to a different hosting service.

I can definitely recommend Arvixe with preloaded XOOPS

I have recently moved a client to Arvixe, and he's been very happy with it!
