Hi everyone,

Happening to me as well.

I have two sites and it only happens on one.

From the mention of www in the url, I did a quick check of the two sites. One thing I noticed is that the site with the problem has no www in the Main Menu > Home link, when I log in, I'm redirected to a non www url as well.

All my XOOPS links (such as from a Top Menu), also don't have the www.

My good site always keeps the www.

I'm no expert and this may have nothing to do with anything. But it seems that it's a cookie issue and if the site is sometimes www and sometimes not, it might be freaking out?

Thought I would share in case it helps somebody work it out.

Update:

In mainfile.php, I changed:

define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://mysite.com');

to

define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://www.mysite.com');

And problem sorted.

I have no idea what I'm doing, so please somebody point out if this causes problems elsewhere.

Update:

seems sorted for me (Admin), but my one user (new site) is now getting the redirected page. *roll eyes*

Some expert around here has GOT to know what's going on??

So, adding the "www" to the mainfile works? or is that just a temporary fix. I noticed my site mainfile...just has...

http://mysite.com without the www.

Should I add the www? will it give me a better outcome?

It is sad, the only thing I get done involving my sites is when I OFFER MONEY....I mean, what ever happen to COMMUNITY. No one has commented on this issue really except you and what 2 others? *smh* I am looking rightnow, and there are a total of 153 members online. So you telling me that no one else had this problem, but has since then fixed it?

What I did was change the main file and deleted all my cookies before going back to the site. It worked.

However, my user has tried the same (other than changing the file of course) and now gets the page, whereas she never before.



theprof 153 members online? really?!
I have right now 149 users, but only 4 are members. I arrely see more than 20 members online, but that coule be time diffs.


Anyway, it seems such a simple problem, all it takes is one person with know-how.

The site is still perfectly usable, through the links, but it doesn't seem right to be taken to this page, especially when you get new visitors - they'll probably leave.
