OK in case I miss you, here's what to do:
1) Once phpmyadmin loads, select your database in the dropdown menu on the left(there may only be 1)
2) when you do this, a list of tables should appear on the right. Find xoops_config, and click on the first icon along (browse)
3) this brings up a new page with a list of fields. The one you want is #7, conf_name theme_set.Cick on the pencil icon to edit this. This opens a page where you can edit the fields. Just change the value for conf_value back to "default" (no quotes)
4)Select Save on the radio button, click "go" and you're done!

all i can suggest, then, is removing the file you uploaded, via FTP. It may revert back to the default theme.

I don't know if it's possible to install phpmyadmin to access the database after your site is installed, but it's worth a try. If you got XOOPS going, you could get phpmyadmin going :)just put it in its own directory www.yoursite.com/phpmyadmin It's a free script. www.phpmyadmin.net
Good luck!
