I wanted to let you guys know there is a parse error on line 38 in xoops_version.php.

Looks like you are missing a " ' " (single quote) at the end of the line.

Hang one on that guys. I tried to install it last night and there is an error. The archive contains xoops_version.php.bak and I tried reverting to that and no joy, so I guess this copy has been hacked around some.

I went to SOE gamers (thanks Arowana but download is for members/reegistered only only and it seemed kinda dishonest to register just to grab their version (call me silly if you like). Also Wargames based on real conflicts/scenarios upset me (again call me silly if you like, but it takes all sorts right?)

May be that my partner can work out what's wrong with it but she is real busy on a contract just now and point blank refuses to look at any code outside working hours at the moment.

However as I write I notice ejuden01 has posted RE the error. Now that's community in action wouldn't you say?

Here is the line:
$modversion['description'] = 'Simple application and roster page for people to be listed who are in your club / group, etc;


Replace it with:
$modversion['description'] = 'Simple application and roster page for people to be listed who are in your club / group, etc';

Thank you for the correction, i have updated the file and will upload it again.

For RachelVirago email churchill@soegamers.com and I am sure he will hook you up. This has not been hacked around just had the bak file because of editor forgot to take it out.

I know he was looking for someone to help him out with the a new roster member block and lang translations if anyone interested.

The file I just downloaded has an error,
There is a PHP style comment in the sql file.
The first line in data.sql is bad.
Also all the "//"'s need to become "#"'s in that file as well

I thought i'd try installing this module, since I had a copy. But every time I try to, it doesn't appear in the module install page. In fact, it causes any other module uploaded but not installed, not to appear either. Once it's deleted, the other uninstalled modules appear again. Any idea why this is happening?

No clue never heard of that one before and the copy I just got from the webiste worked the first time for me.

How old is your copy? Might want to download it again

Well, after reading the posts above mine I decided that i'd better download the most recent version - so I did, and it has the same effect as before.

I'll try it on another of my sites to see if it's the same.

After you post here (I got it this morning) I downloaded the module from the website and installed it on three different sites all running the latest version of XOOPS.

www.hpatech.com
www.jnwnetworks.com
www.miriammckee.us

and not one glitch at all.


Steps I took

1. Downloaded from the website
2. Unzipped using Winzip 8.1
3 Uploaded using WS_FTP home
4. Login to site as admin
5. went to admin - modules - and installed xRoster


Then I unistalled it all and tried a different FTP program called ACE_FTP Same results no error or glitchs.

Must be your site man, what version you running?
