Our Apache Server shut down every time. He will survive 4 or 5 Days. XOOPS is the only software who use apache on this server.
Short time before he will shut down, the logs save this messages:

Need details like what OS it is running on, versions of Apache, PHP, etc. Are the packages from binaries or compiled from source? Are you running Perl?

I downloaded XOOPS from this site as Full Package. I think it was the binaries.

It looks like you have the SuSE specific binaries. They are all out of date but if S 8.1 is still being maintained with updates then they should be patched and work o.k. (back ported patches). Make sure you have the latest from them at least.

If you aren't running any heavy Perl apps (Xoops isn't) then I'd suggest removing mod_perl. You don't need it for XOOPS and it is my best guess for the crashes. I don't know about mod_python but it isn't needed for XOOPS either.
