I use the news module a a blog because I like how it looks better than the blogging modules.

Is there a way to alter the commenting feature so that anon users can be asked to leave their name / email / web information like the blogger system does?

well... as I usually say "Everything possible in PHP is possible in XOOPS" - but in this case you would have to change the whole comments system, you will not be able to do the name/email/web information exclusively in the News module.

Thanks. I didn't mean that I wanted it only for the news module. Would is be hard to simply add functionality for another way to do commenting like http://www.haloscan.com/ for instance? How can I do that?
