I am enjoying exploring the XOOPS universe and am about to start adapting the system to suit my needs. However I wanted to pose a question before I start to see if there is a standard way to do this:
I would like to add more columns in the members table for my members to fill in about themselves. I want also to remove some that are not suitable for my needs. Should I just add the columns in MySQL and update the relevant modules to display them? OR is there another way to do this so if I upgrade the system at some future time my work will not be undone?
