There is a minor bug in one of the WF-Sections 2.1 templates that causes links to a forum to be broken if the XOOPS core installation is not in the root directory.

On line 67 of the wfsection_article.html Smarty template, which displays individual articles, there is an incorrect Smarty tag reference to the base XOOPS URL.

The tag <{$xoopurl}> should be replaced with <{$xoops_url}>.

This has been reported to the developers, but anybody who has already downloaded the new version should be aware of this issue and the fix.

Thanks!

Thanks,

I am a bit lost now on wfsections, I take it a new dev team have taken over from Catz?

I saw no announcement for the full 2.1 release? A lot of people have been wating for this?

And the 2.1 download is not a valid archive? Come back Catz..

I will need to look into this, not too good that the most fantastic content module around has not been announced for the full release, and the one that is available is corrupted?

Jack,

I'm not sure who's in charge now, but the WF web site is running again, and a valid archive of WF-Sections 2.1 is available in it's alpha release:

http://wfsections.xoops2.com/modules/mydownloads/viewcat.php?cid=1

I should have made it clear that I am just a user and I am not involved with the development. As such I can't comment on the lack of an official release notice. I just came across this bug and figured it would be good to let others know about it.

Thanks Fritz,

that is the link I tried, but getting "not valid archive" message after download.

Perhaps my system has problems I don't think so though..

Jack,

I just tried the download link again and didn't have any problems with the archive.

So far it's going beautifully, though we're still in development so we haven't touched on all the features yet.

That link bug is the only one I've come across so far.

One possible exception is that I'm having trouble figuring out the access priviledges for approving articles. I want them to be approved automatically and I can't figure out how to get that to work. I don't know if it's user error or a problem.

It's great, though!

Sounds great..

I am uploading it, in the old version auto approve article choice was always in the general configurations section near the bottom under "Auto approve submitted articles"

I will look into it for this one.

FYI

I just found out the actual release version number is 2.0.1, not 2.1

Quote:
WF-Section Now Available for Download
WF-Section v2.1 Full is now available for download from our download section.

We have released this module as a full version. We believe it to be stable enough for production websites.

You can download this module from here

We will be releasing update scripts for previous versions of WF-Sections and maybe other XOOPS Modules.

Well this is what Liquid wrote on the wf2section website ...

A short notice here on xoops.org would have been nice though.

[edit]put a little questionaire posting on the other website to get some more infos.
