Okay, I managed to get most of my XOOPS site moved over to a new web host and up and running. But I'm having a tough time with the avatars. They aren't showing up in the new site. And I can't seem to locate their physical loaction on the old server. Neither the system avatars I provided to the users, and their custom avatars are showing up. Any ideas?

They can't all be in there. I have like over 100 avatars for users to choose from but my upload dir is only showing about 15...

here's a thought. on your old server, right click and goto properties on a user's avatar to see the full path...

It says it's supposed to be in the uploads directory, but there's only 15 gifs in that dir and I have 87 avatars on my site...somethings not right? Is XOOPS hiding the avatars somewhere else? I have duplicated the uploads directory on the new server and CMod'd it to 777 and they still don't show up.

lol, weird... not sure what the deal is with that... if you're using WS-FTP to browse your ftp space, try putting '-al' in the little white box on the right side, then refresh the view, that should show any hidden files

I'm using SmartFTP but I have it set to show all files as well. Wierd. If I use the server's file manager program I can see the files...but if I use and FTP program they don't show up. BTW, the server's file manager software shows the ones that aren't showing up as being "644".

Any ideas on how to get to these and download them all in one fail swoop?

I think I just found a way. If you use the file manager software that the webhost provides and copy the upload directory to another directory on the server, say a "temp" on the root of your server, it unhides the files and your FTP program can see the files and you can download them.

Yep, that works.
