Hi,

i am searching for a photoblog, a photoalbum or something like that and found this website

http://www.mtg-handball.de/

It is in german language. What do i need for modules to create such a site?

Under FOTOALBUM in the top navbar there is a photoalbum.
Is this a XOOPS module?
Is it easy to import pictures?
If i upload pictures, i would like to upload 100 or maybe 200 pictures. Must i do it one by one or can i upload all 100 at a time and they are stored static or in the MySQL?

As you can see the german website has a forum. I don´t want a forum. Can i delete it?

Thanks in advance for your help and for answering my questions.
Markus

hey Zwincki,

the gallery is an XOOPS module called "xcgal" you can do a search to find out a little more about it and likely find it in downloads on this site.

you can deactivate any module at any time through admin -> modules.

To find out the name of any module used on any XOOPS enabled site, hover your mouse over the link and observe the name after /modules/[modulename]

That will give you a general idea on what is being used on a site that has not modified it's module name, which is 90% of them or more.

Thank you, Stewdio. That was a help tip.

What module/block is used to place the text in the top of the center column on http://www.xoops.org? There is no navigation/menu item to hover the cursor over for information. Can you give this newbie a little hint?

I even looked at the source HTML for hints ...

Thanks,

No - the text was done as a fixed block, not an IFRAME

Re: Which modules are used for this website?

True enough...Kind responder. I should have added that to my previous posting. I should have said that I was steered in the proper direction in another thread. I did arrive at something that resembled a "fixed block". Please forgive me but I am not fluent in XOOPS terms or environment.

Is a "fixed block" just a custom block with a content type of HTML?

Thanks in advance,

Sorry yes, I mean a custom block.
