I want my header to be in text and to read:
CorpStation.com - Your Corporate Destination

My .../default/theme.html reads in part as follows:
<{$xoops_sitename}> - <{$xoops_pagetitle}>

<{$xoops_module_header}>

In your admin section under System>Preferences there is a portion to use the theme.html file without caching it. Turn that on. If you already have that on, try clearing your cache and see if that helps.

Thank you for your response. I did not find a specific cache area related to the theme.html file.

I did find cache related to each complete module (as follows): Forum News Contact Us Polls Partners Members Headlines FAQ Sections Downloads Web Links

All were set to NO CACHE. I set all of them for 1 MINUTE. Loaded the page, same story. I then set all modules to NO CACHE, loaded page. Same story. Improper text still appears.

Must be something else I am doing wrong. Thanks again.

Quote:
Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?

If this option is enabled, module template .html files will be updated automatically if there are newer files under the themes/your theme/templates directory for the current theme. This should be turned off once the site goes public.

Its that section, set that to yes.

Thank you for your 2nd response.

I set "Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?" to YES, reloaded page with all cache(s) set to NO CACHE. No dice.

I kept "Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?" set to YES, set all cache(s) to 5-minutes, No dice.

Still need help. Thank you again.

When I went to corpstation.com what I got was a hosting page? Do you have XOOPS installed on your server? Can I get a link to the working site.

xoops is at http://corpstation.com/xooper/

My web host's index file is in the directory above /xooper and I don't know what to do it. I want the XOOPS news module to be my home page.

Somehow, I think the problem may be index.php related.

Perhaps I should have named /xooper, /xoops instead.

Anyhow, I could not log in as a new user, but when you go there you will see the php or html text in the header.

Please advise. Thank you.

Wow, somehow your header is all screwed up. It shows up like 4 or 5 times when I view the source. When you installed XOOPS did you put the root directory as corpstation.com or corpstation.com/xooper/

Using fantastico to load XOOPS, i don't remember a question about root. Fantastico did say to put XOOPS as a sub-directory of corpstation.com, which i did.

When I booted up to the .../news location, I saw the XOOPS logo at the top. I changed the XOOPS info in relation to the header (I thought), and now you see what happened. I made those changes in the themes.html file based upon viewing "source" of other XOOPS sites.

Seems like I still have problems with "INDEX" files since browsers call them first, or something like that.

Thanks.

With fantastico in order to install in the root dir just ignore the field that says to put it in a sub-directory, just leave it blank. My suggestion is to re-install it or get ahold of the original theme.html file and start anew.
