How do I install a forum for my xoops?

I'm still new to xoops, I would like to have a forum installed on my XOOPS 2.0.6. I need instructions please.

I can't beleive I lived with Nuke mag...

Log in and go to Administration>Sytem Admin>Modules and look for a module named newbb.

Click it, install it and your good to go.

Just edit what ever picture you have on file, shrink it down to 120x120 (15k) and go your profile to upload. Done!

Thanks again and again.... one last thing, when I go to Smilies Control, I can't see any smiles they all have the red cross! do I need to also install smiles?

I pointed to a picture with a red cross, right clicked it, then chose properties to see the full path to the image (e.g. http://www.4elol.net/xoops/uploads/icon_biggrin.gif)
This obviously means that the file icon_biggrin.gif should be inside the folder uploads. BUT it is not there... How come??

Make sure that your upload dir has proper read/write permissions. Should be 777 if memory serves incorrectly.

Ya but the files don't exist in the firs place. for example image redstars5.gif that come above the webmaster, does not exist in my upload folder!

Download this, decompress and upload to your /uploads dir.

Or alternatively check your local files and reupload the folder in case it was missed.

I did! they don't exist on my local file either!
