how to use xoops accross subdomains?

Hi

I have a problem. I want to use XOOPS to handle a website like www.mysite.com and then have subdomains friends.mysite.com whatever.mysite.com etc...

I wonder if there is a way to do so sharing all the same database or at least the same user database (so they don't have to login multiple the times)

Is this possible?
