There are still a lot of Featurerequests for the newbb, so I give you a small Report what`s currently happens.

Here are some notice about the way the new newbb goes:

Order of working

1. Rebuild the Admin Section only using XOOPS Core Functions.

2. Building Classes
- for Categories ( is finished )
- Forums ( in process )
- overwork Postclass ( in process )
- whoisonline ( is finished )
- attachment ( finished ) current several files, maybe we can build a Core Function for all Modules like Comment.

3. Add small usefull Features

4. Rewrite the Forum Files themself using the Classes ( will reduce by given features the complete Code about 40%

All comes with a complete Codecleaning and overworking and some Layout changes.

This is the main selection of the Featurerequests, so small Feature will be added later.

At the moment your are only able to add one level subforum:

category
- forum1
- subforum1

I check it out to make multiple Levels ( no promis at the moment )

yes , you right just 1 level ( old fashion ). I was glad to see you not speak no - but understand this subject is a " much have option" and hope full you will change mind soon so you wil surprise XOOPS users to get sub categorys - as I see no way out - or just be behind later........,-))))

IMHO the newbb has been one of the weakest parts Xoops. It's great to see some basic features starting to be incorporated.

Maybe with these added features, XOOPS will start turning more heads!

Hi everybody,
I've just finished to install the new newbb on my linux box and I only want to say that it's a good, great work.
I'm just waiting (I'll be patient, don't worry ) for the final version to replace the actual IPB module and hope it'll be possible to show attached images in thumbnails (with size configured by admin) instead of the full real size.
A french excited user of xoops.

Edited: seeing words about converters...IPBM to newbb would be great.

I was wondering if there is a way to download the version that you have right now..
What I need in particular is for people to know which topics they have read and which are new..
The other features are not really important to me but the issue that I have pointed out is going to increase dramaticly the activity on my forum. Thank you in advance.
