Well,

I'm not sure if this is the right forum... but feel free to change it if necessaty...

I have problems when I try to uninstall or change the modules names or active state in the modules management areas using XOOPS 2.06...

When I try one of the explained above I get a blank page after the confirmation screen.

Can anyone help me? I've searched previous posts about it... but I didn't find anything...

Thanks for the help!

Have you tried searching for "blank screen" ?

And nowhere was PHP debug mentioned?
In Administration Menu -> System Admin -> Preferences -> General Settings set PHP Debug on and try to uninstall/change the module again - you should now be presented with some PHP errors.

Paste them here and we'll learn more of the problem.

It's really strange...
I tried the debug mode on and I just get the blank screen... (no messsages!)
The other debug modes seem correct...

Does this apply to all modules?

yes...
because except for the core modules I just use wf-sections

That is indeed very weird. Cannot give an answer if nothing shows up in php debug.

If nothing is showing up, I sometimes find there is an syntax error in my PHP. PHP debug only seems to give messages if the file parses successfully. Things like missing quotes, etc, can cause blank screens with no PHP debug messages.

As simple check for this is to run php from the command line.

* Switch to the directory containing the file you are working with.
* php -f nameoffile.php

note that the file won't run correctly, since all of the server environment isn't set up. But it will check for syntax errors, and give you an error message.

Tom

Note that I'm a XOOPS newbie, and you shouldn't take anything I say too seriously.
